Team Building Award
Intermec Technologies wanted to develop an annual award honoring managers who demonstrate exemplary cross-functional team-building skills. This award was created to honor an important employee, Mr. Luc Van Geel.
Intermec industrial designers were eager to collaborate on this striking design.
We recommend creating six lobby sculptures for the company’s principal offices around the world.
Sculptures are updated annually with a new glass element featuring the name of the current year's winner.
Each employee honored with this distinction has his name engraved on the dichroic glass element that replaces a blank within the circle.
Reaction to this design was universally positive and continues to inspire Intermec employees.
A single piece with an engraving of Mr. Van Geel himself is given to each recipient.
Award recipient names and year of achievement are added to the sculpture.
